Cookie Policy

Last updated 28 October 2026

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. This page lists the cookies wayframer.com sets, what each one is for and how long it lasts, and how to change your choice.

Your choice

On your first visit, a notice in the corner of the page asks about cookies. Essential cookies are always on, because signing in and keeping the site secure depend on them. Analytics cookies stay off until you choose Accept, or switch Analytics on under "Choose what's allowed". We keep your answer for six months, then ask again.

To change your answer, choose Cookie settings at the foot of any public page. Switching analytics off stops Google Analytics straight away and removes its cookies.

Essential cookies

  • wayframer_session: keeps you signed in and ties your visit to its session. Encrypted. Ends two hours after your last request.

  • A cookie with a random 40-character name: holds the encrypted contents of your session, alongside wayframer_session. Ends two hours after your last request.

  • XSRF-TOKEN: protects your forms and requests from being forged by another site. Ends two hours after your last request.

  • remember_web_ followed by a code: set only if you tick "Remember me" when you log in, so you stay signed in between visits. Lasts until you log out, up to 400 days.

  • __cf_bm: set by Cloudflare, which protects wayframer.com, to tell people apart from automated traffic. Lasts 30 minutes.

  • __stripe_mid and __stripe_sid: set by Stripe when you open the billing pages, to prevent fraud when you pay. They last one year and 30 minutes.

  • bookmarkDismissed: set only if you dismiss the tip suggesting you bookmark a page, so the tip stays away. Lasts one year.

Analytics cookies

Set only after you allow analytics. Google Analytics counts visits, so we can see which pages help. It receives the address of each page with any IDs, codes and email addresses blanked out, and never the page's title. Google's signals and advertising features are switched off.

  • _ga: a random ID that tells one browser's visits apart from another's. Lasts two years.

  • _ga_ followed by a code: keeps track of your current visit. Lasts two years.

Other storage in your browser

Wayframer also keeps a few things in your browser's local storage, where they stay:

  • cookie-consent and cookie-consent-at: your answer to the cookie notice and when you gave it.

  • Interface preferences, such as panel sizes and which sections are open, and a copy of the footer so pages load faster.

Videos in the user guide

A help page may include a video from YouTube, shown in its privacy-enhanced mode, or from Vimeo. Those services may set their own cookies when you play the video.

Blocking cookies in your browser

Your browser's settings let you block or delete cookies. If you block essential cookies, you will not be able to sign in.
